This week was not my greatest weeks of following a schedule…not in the least. But you know what?! I was able to continue my run streak through the week and forced myself to get in at least a mile a day! The “training plan” that I have is a loose goal to keep… I just hope that as the summer continues, my body will grow more accustomed to the heat and I will be able to get out and run more (or at least closer to what my “plan” calls for).

Weekly Workouts
Monday- 1 mile morning quick run; yes, not the needed 30 minutes or interval workout, but I’ll take what I can get when I don’t want to function in the morning…
Tuesday- Getting up with a crying little man a couple times in the night means that I was a zombie in the morning…planned on working out at the gym over my lunch hour – didn’t happen. Last resort, ran once the hubs was home in the evening!
Wednesday- Excuses and more excuses this morning (I don’t need to bore you…). I was able to get to the gym over my runch break!
Thursday- Due to a number of factors, I didn’t get in a workout in the morning. I did make a couple miles happen over my lunch break 🙂
Friday- I wish my body would just WAKE UP when my alarm goes off… Oh well, at least I was able to get in a morning run today!
Saturday- While I got up on time, I just didn’t get out on time… So, I drove to the group run meet-up.
Sunday- The great weather made me want to run more than I should have – at least it was an “easy” pace 🙂

Don’t we all have weeks like this? Sometimes it’s impossible to keep a perfect running schedule. I think it’s so awesome that despite everything you kept your running streak going! Amazing!

Congrats in keeping your run streak alive! 28 miles is a strong week. We’ve got to be able to be flexible and you made the necessary adjustments to complete a great week. I’m still waiting for my body to acclimate to the heat & humidity. I’m not sure it’s going to. Thanks for linking with us Lindsey!

Yeah! It was a decent week – I need to add some more walking miles throughout the week so I can catch up with my RTY totals…

It is so hard to get high mileage in when the humidity is a factor. I have that same nathan vest and I have been very happy with it. I haven’t had it chafe me at all. Maybe I am just lucky.

Super lucky! I think it would be better if I wore a standard tee…and I need a tutorial on how to wear it properly 😆

I think you did pretty darn good considering the heat and humidity! I myself took the day off because I just couldn’t face going out in the heat. And our humidity is a lot lighter here in the California desert. Thanks for linking up!

The humidity is a beast! While the “cooler” mornings feel great, there is still 90-100% humidity and I am drenched…

I’ve had too many days lately where the alarm wins. Sometimes I make an after-work workout, but my motivation is definitely not there. Let’s challenge ourselves to get up and at it every day next week!
