Well, this week is going to be a busy one…or mostly this weekend is going to be BUSY. I am without a structured training plan for the next 5 weeks or so…so I am just going back through my taper plans week to week to keep miles on my legs. I have a lot of races coming up this fall to pace for…and I just want to keep up on my recovery while still running!
Weekly Workouts
Monday- Due to some morning rain, I pushed my run to my lunch break. It was still wet, but not as bad as it would have been this morning!
Tuesday- A nice, cool morning interval run with Angie (7 miles) and an evening group run with little man in tow (2 miles)
Wednesday- A crisp, cool, windy morning run with Angie – 6 miles
Thursday- BURRR! We had a cold snap last night and this is my first 30 degree run…and it was a painful one too. Literally. I got new shoes and I wanted to start adding them into my shoe family…ouch! I have worn the same style before, but boy to these not feel great right now!
Friday- workout description
Saturday- Kansas City Half Marathon – pacing 2:55 – While I did great with keeping time, my group fizzled early. The ones that were prepared finished ahead of me and I worked hard at the finish to get as many pumped up to beat me in the final stretch!
Sunday- Rock & Roll St. Louis – just running to run! I can’t have too many expectations after putting miles on my legs the day before…but I put in a decent effort 🙂
Weekly Miles : 47 workout miles
1443 / 2,016 miles in 2016 – Yeah…I’m behind! But so what?! I’ll finish when I finish 😉
Next Week’s Projected Workouts
Yep! A full marathon weekend of running 🙂 This past weekend was more of a prep for the 50K in a few weeks than anything…or mostly poor planning on my part, ha!
This week…
This week will have some major foam rolling, yoga, and fun miles on the schedule 🙂 I’ll be leaving town on a jet plane on Friday… Weeee!
Check out some awesome #linkups this week!
As always, there is the great Weekly Wrap link-up with Holly and Tricia! I found a new Monday linkup called #MotivateMe Monday, hosted by Lucie, Janice, and Rachel! Also, check out Ilka and Angela’s Sunday Fitness & Food link up!
Check out the Tuesday’s on the Run gang as well: Patty, Erika, & Marcia! I am also linking up with Annmarie, Jen, Nicole, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday 🙂 Check out the new Coaches Corner linkup with Suz, Rachel, Debbie, and Lora.
How did your training week go? What are you training for?
I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment and start a conversation!
I’m struggling with the cold weather running too. It’s too soon!

I don’t love the super cold mornings we have had…I am okay with 50s+ but 30 degree mornings are a bit early!

a 30 degree run! YUCK! We’ve been having weird summer temps this week, but I think it’s supposed to start cooling off this weekend.

Great job on your week of running. 30 degrees is way too cold for this girl…burr is right! I’ve been needing to get new shoes also to rotate into my runs.

Great job! Last Saturday we dropped down to low 40’s and that was a really chilly run but still not too bad, lol! The swag from St. Louis is soo nice! Looks like a fun race.

It was a great race! KC had a lot more music on their route than the RNR route…great for runners no matter what!!
