Starting to get used to the cold…sort of!!
Weekly Workouts
Monday- The morning temps were perfect for a nice morning run! While my shins were a touch chilled, this may have been my last shorts-wearing run this year 😦
Tuesday- I didn’t go for a morning run, I ate all of the things thoughtout the day…and no lunch run either! While my running was a failure, my eating was pretty good 🙂 One of those “rest” days…
Wednesday- Yes! Even with the hubs wanting to go into work EARLY, I was able to get in some SUPER COLD miles. This cold isn’t going anywhere either…the rest of the week is going to need some planning…cold cold cold!!
Thursday- cold COLD miles in the morning!!
Friday- lunch run! 50 degrees, yes please!
Saturday- group run + 2.5+ miles to and from 🙂 I really love the group runs on the weekend! Even though I am the last runner and typically run alone, it is nice to know the rest of the team is waiting at the meet-up point 🙂
Sunday- no workout…the hubs went hunting all day and I just wasn’t feeling up to it when he got home after 7pm…
Weekly Miles : 32 miles
1652 / 2,016 miles in 2016
Next Week’s Projected Workouts
My training plan still doesn’t start for a few more weeks…so I am just keeping a strong base and still getting used to the cold!!
What am I training for?? Well, while I would LOVE to run a few trail marathons or 50Ks this spring, the money just isn’t adding up. I have volunteered to pace my first marathon this spring – so my training will focus on that race – Garmin Marathon 2017 🙂
Check out some awesome #linkups this week!
As always, there is the great Weekly Wrap link-up with Holly & Tricia! Check out the #MotivateMe Monday, hosted by Lucie & Janice! Also, check out Ilka & Angela’s Sunday Fitness & Food link up!
Check out the Tuesday’s on the Run gang as well: Patty, Erika, & Marcia! I am also linking up with Annmarie, Jen, Nicole, & Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday 🙂 Check out the Coaches Corner linkup with Suz, Rachel, Debbie, & Lora!

I am planning to run the Garmin Marathon! Any idea of what pace group you’ll be running?

Nice! I’m hoping to finish the race in less than 5 hours so I hope I don’t see you on the course haha! But if I do see you, I know you’d help me reach my secondary goal of finishing the race. 🙂

Yes! Your first goal should be to finish 😆😆 I’ll be there for you no matter what!! If you are comfortable, start with the 5 hour pacer and let them help you finish in that time 😀😀

Great job on your week of workouts. I think 50s is cool….brr…I was out in hat and gloves earlier. I guess we have been a bit spoiled with the higher temps lately.

Awesome congrats on the pacing gig! I’m technically a pacer but I haven’t paced anything yet. Whomp whomp. It’ll be fun to hear how you like it!

Your pictures of the cold weather running really makes me glad I’m in Mississippi. But, we have this cold snap coming through, yes lows in the mid 20’s! So I’m headed to the beach, but it’s only going to be in the lower 30’s there Friday night. Unreal I say unreal! Thanks for linking up with us!

I will admit–I’ve totally been hiding from the cold. That is going to suck when I am going out for coaching this weekend (HEY THERE TEENS). But luckily, I just received some new gear that is going to soften the blow. But I need some better gloves.

Great week of running, Lindsey! I love your reflective vest – it seems so well fitted! Mine is awkward and falls of my shoulder constantly during the run. Definitely in the market for a new one!
