Weekly Workouts
Monday- no workout – unplanned “rest” day… I don’t mind “planned rest” days (even though I don’t always “rest”…) but the unplanned ones really do stink!!
Tuesday- It truly feels like forever since I was able to run…even though it has only been a couple days. Funny how that works… I have been swamped at work…and it has made me a little more lazy at home as well. Well, not today! I was able to get away from work for a little while and go for a brisk run on my favorite trail 🙂
Wednesday- Another busy day…another trail run in the books!! I love running the Linear Trail during the day! I just wish I had a longer lunch hour so I could run longer 🙂
Thursday- Some days, you just need to get away! The chill is not going away this week…and we are going to have some SUPER cold days to come (hello Saturday’s low of -2, feels like -15 and below)… Need some outside miles while I can get them!
Friday- It feels like FOREVER since I have got out for any morning miles…when it has only been since last Saturday. Broke the pattern today (and hopefully tomorrow as well!!)!!
Saturday- Even with the horrible weather, I was able to get most of my planned run!
Sunday- no workout- the -20 degree wind chill to start the day didn’t make me want to hit the road… Weekend days don’t get a run unless it is early morning…oh well!

Looks like you got a lot of good trail running in last week – despite the cold! Great job!

Thanks! The trails make the cold a little more tolerable 😆

Nice trail running this week and great job on making runs happen when you can! That’s an incredible amount of mileage you’ve amassed this year. I’ll come in only around 1200! With all those layers you were wearing on your Saturday 10 miler, I’m very impressed you could move let alone run that far. LOL. Thanks for linking, Lindsey!

Yes! It wasn’t easy to move on Saturday…my miles times were a clear indicator 😆😆 Slow and steady kept me from making friends with the sidewalk many many times!

I agree, unplanned rest days really do stink. Sometimes you can’t help it, life happens, but as a runner there is nothing worse than planning a run that doesn’t happen…
I had to laugh when you wrote that it felt like you haven’t ran in forever but really has been only a few days!! #runnerthinking #loveit
Congrats on getting 26 miles in this week Lindsey despite the cold! I’m still running in heat and humidity in here in South Florida.
Have a Wonderful Holiday Lindsey!!! Enjoy!!

I haven’t run in FL…but the heat/humidity we have during the summer can be unbearable as well! #runnerprobs

So many miles! Way to go!! It really is amazing how a few days off of running can feel like forever. I took a week off after my last marathon, and it felt like a year!

So true! I get restless if I am not running…

The December weather certainly has been nutzo this year. It was absolutely frigid last week, and this past weekend was just down-right extreme. Now today? It got up to 41-degrees in Iowa! Heat wave!!

It has been a little funny! My FB timeline keeps showing me running in a parka one day and shorts the next…somehow, I don’t remember the craziness last year 😆😆
