With a mild start to the week, the winter chill set in FAST! Wasn’t I wearing shorts out on the run just last week?! Oh well…I feel like I am going to wimp out some this winter and head to the gym a few days a week. I didn’t get much of a cold build up, just BAM! COLD! We’ll see how it goes…

OFF 2 miles
After an exciting Gingermas Run Hunt last Saturday, I needed to shake out my legs. So I went for a quick 2 mile runch.
Tuesday- 2 miles
While yesterday’s run in the 50s was “warm” but today’s 50s was “cold”…funny how that happens. Good thing I made it happen today…bring on the cold, because then the spring will be here sooner : )

Well…this run almost didn’t happen! Well, it would have happened either way, but I had so many things come up every time I tried to leave…then I left and got ABOUT halfway in my route when I realized that I requested to get off work an hour early for little man’s daycare holiday party (shoot!). So I had to double back so i could finished what was left of my shorter work day… Oh well. Here’s to winter finally settling in for a little while (maybe…).
Well, I didn’t get up and get out like I wanted to this morning. I need a new routine of how to get around in the morning…help!!
Anyway, I was able to get out for an interval lunch run…not quite the miles I needed, but some good effort paces with the help of my WeavRun app!

Since I didn’t have daycare for little man today, I got to stay home with him. And since I didn’t have to be at work at 8am, I decided to hit the gym early…EARLY early. I planned to change up my long run to today (from tomorrow) and run my shorter long run with the group).

Due to changing things up, I planned on running my 8-miler today…but it was so damn cold! We have had “warm weather” all “winter”…so today’s 15 degree feel wasn’t welcoming! I gathered with the group and we accomplished what we could – and I wimped out with 6 (rather than 8).
8 miles OFF
I had wanted to make up my missed miles from the other morning + the “old” Friday miles…but it just didn’t happen. I slept in and spent the day with family. Merry Christmas Eve!
