The start of the week was a little messy with my workouts due to moving runs around to accommodate for a longer run on Monday…when the weather was nicer. Oh well, my “training plan” is still just an outline of workouts to keep moving and keep my training going through the summer. Hiccups will happen…hopefully not every week! I was able to mix things up a little this week with the little man away from home…gym time? Yes, please!
Monday- I waited a bit too long to go for my “nice, long run”…and it was hot. Live and learn – 10 miles in the books for #2016in2016, my first miles of the #AmerithonChallenge, and a run for the !
Finally able to get in a run – I wasn't too quick to get out since the temps weren't all that high today, but tired legs and peaking sun made this jaunt a little more interesting. 10 miles to start the @amerithoners challenge with team #7chicksandadude 💥 #amerithoners #amerithonerschallenge @americanarun #americanarun @fitfamhq #movethemission
Tuesday- Due to traveling back home early and a long day at work, I decided to hit up the gym after work…oh yeah! I have SPENT TIME at the gym since before we had little man…so this was a nice change of pace! Treadmill, check! Dry sauna, check!
Wednesday- Another day without the kiddo = another day at the gym! Treadmill, check! Yoga, check! Dry sauna, check! 🙂
Thursday- legit rest day…
Friday- a hot, humid morning run…and a hot runch run!
Some morning runs just aren't worth thinking about too long – 3 miles in the books on this grossly, humid morning – thinking about an easy run at the gym to get my mind right today… Happy Fri-Yay!! ———— My favorite way to spend my summer months is with my little family having fun 😆 Hopefully staying cool! #sweatpink #IdealShapeGoals #IdealShape @idealshape @fitapproach
Saturday- a humid, slow, horrible run…can’t win them all these days!
Some runs just aren't easy…a mix of humidity and watching my HR kept me slower than slow this morning – and soaked with sweat. Also, my change in diet (check it out on the blog last week) is not helping… I have a feeling I have some hard miles ahead while my body adjusts – but it will be worth it in the end! Happy weekend!
Sunday- a nice morning run with new friends on the Konza
