Spring has finally sprung, and this week is proof! We had some amazing temps, some rainy days, and lots of sunshine! I am so excited to get back outside on a more regular basis! #bibchat

With the weather taking us for another chilly ride early this past week, I am hoping to get outside for some lunch run miles later in the week (hello 40 degrees!!)! I have some running events in my future and the treadmill isn’t going to suffice… I have some running plans for this spring and… Continue reading spring training | week 6
As an active individual, I run into little niggles and issues from time to time. With the growing mileage I plan to run this year, I now have confidence that using tools like the CTM Band will keep my muscles happy! Plus, it’s PEAK WEEK in my training for the Garmin Marathon in a few short weeks! Check it out!
This past week went relatively seamlessly… With the hubs in surgery on Tuesday and part of the weekend away from home, I was able to get in most of my runs without much issue!
This training cycle is filling the time between the 50K 20M (review hopefully up this week!) and the big 100M training cycle starting in late April – my next race is the Garmin Marathon (OZ Marathon) and I will be pacing the 5:30 finishers!
This week was a little funny.. Since I took the past Sunday off, I decided to run on Monday – so then my brain was out of wack and mixed up my miles for the week. Oh well, this training cycle is off to a good start and is focused on the Garmin Marathon (where I will be pacing the 5:30 runners)! Let’s run!
After my failed attempt at the Run Toto Run 50K a couple weeks ago, I wasn’t sure how quickly I would be able to get back into my next training cycle. Frankly, I didn’t push myself to complete the scheduled training miles on the plan for the week after the race. I was pleasantly surprised that my “active recovery week” after the race ended up with 35 miles!
Do you know what I account a big portion of my positive post-race week of miles? The amazing SKINS DNAmic Compression tights that I wore at the race and for the following week (whenever possible)!
This week was an interesting one! I wanted this week to be one for recovery, but I did quite a bit of running…felt great!
I am hoping that the training time between the 50K 20M and the big 100M training cycle will be filled with additional strength training and marathon prep! My next “race” in the books is the Garmin Marathon and I will be pacing the 5:30 runners!
What a week!! The mornings were fairly mild…the afternoons have been warm!! I ran more miles that I had in the plan, but most of them were easy paced, fun miles 🙂 I am ready for spring!! #marathontraining
This week was a great week for running! The mornings were cool (plain crisp some mornings) and the afternoons were great (for the most part). I would totally love you to follow me on Instagram and check out my workouts before my weekly wrap! I am always use the extra motivation to get out and run!
What a week! While I am not generally a fair-weather runner, some days it just feels better to head inside! I didn’t spend much time at the gym this week… Nice weather keeps me wanting to spend more time outside! I enjoy getting my workouts completed in the morning…but on a great day, I might… Continue reading winter 26.2 training w2 | Weekly Workouts
