This week, the Tuesday’s On The Run gang is going through some of their Scenes On The Run.
I typically only take pictures for my own sake, but this last weekends long run was a bit different. I ran a point-to-point route from my in-laws house to my best friends house 13 miles down the road!
Since I cannot run on the highway and I wanted to pit-stop at my parents house, my planned run (and training plan miles) ended up being 18 miles!

What a week!! The mornings were fairly mild…the afternoons have been warm!! I ran more miles that I had in the plan, but most of them were easy paced, fun miles 🙂 I am ready for spring!! #marathontraining

Last week of my “training cycle”!! I can’t believe it has already been 15 weeks…summer is coming to a close (finally…) and my first pacing race is this coming weekend! Here is my recap of last weeks workouts!

While the rain tried to slow me down, I was still able to make a big dent in my running miles left this year! I nearly doubled my miles for the week over the weekend…love those early morning long runs and trail runs 🙂

Well…the heat came back this week… The mornings were in the 70-80s with high humidity…so I pushed workouts to my lunch breaks and evenings. I sure do not miss this heat…BRING THE FALL COOL!! Oh well…Mother Nature has a mind of her own (…esp in Kansas)! Ha!

While starting to cool off a little, this week has some great weather for running! (at least in the morning) Again, I am not great with sticking to my plan (see below), but I am still good about getting some miles and cross training in!
Another week, more running, more stretching, and a little volunteering! Some weeks just feel good…overall! While my mornings started a little slow, the miles ticked away 🙂
