Running Update | Tuesday’s on the Run

This week, ErikaMarcia, and Patty are discussing our running goals for 2016…so let’s dive in!

Remaining Goals for 2016

Staying Healthy!!

#1 goal for every year is trying to stay healthy! Whether it is with running, eating, anything…keeping healthy and happy or my family is always the most important piece of the puzzle…

Marathon and beyond…

Starting the year, I wanted to run my first marathon… CHECK!

Once I was done with my first full marathon, and had some time to recover and get back to the basics…I decided that I wanted to run a 50K! Yeah…yikes!

I worked with a marathon training plan this summer and I feel like I am 80% prepared for running a 50K…

Queue registering for a 50K in two weeks!! Long story…but at least I have a friend to run with!

2,016 in 2016

My biggest running challenge was signing up for the 2,016 in 2016! Running 2,016 miles in a year is no small feat…so I was open to the opportunity!

I am a little behind for the year and I am not completely sure I will make it…but I am giving it a good shot!

Smart Pacing with Runner’s Edge

Lastly, a goal of mine was to help other runners!

When I was approached to start smart pacing, I looked forward to the challenge of keeping runners calm through the race morning jitters and give them the best opportunity to reach their goals!

I have since successfully paced 7 races with at least 2 more events this fall! Not every race is treated the same and learning more about the paces and the runners in those groups is really going to help me become more successful with pacing in the future!
