Wow,… Thursday…we meet again!…There is a little to talk about with Amanda and her Thinking Out Loud Thursday’s 🙂
Fit Foodie Weekend – San Diego
My bestie and I had a blast at the Fit Foodie Weekend in San Diego! This was the first time I had been in California, so it was great to see the west coast! A HUGE thanks to Wasa for the amazing prize package – the experience was awesome!
The Fit Foodie Party With A Purpose dinner was Friday evening… We wandered around the area for a bit, walked through an awesome gallery, got locked up in jail, and I even got to meet Bill Rodgers and Meb Keflezighi 🙂 🙂
The Fit Foodie 5K was fun – followed by the Fit Foodie Expo – Saturday morning! There was a lot to see and try!!
Playing around town (rather a 1 +/- mile around our hotel) 🙂
We always make time for coffee 🙂
The weather was comparable to Kansas with the cool mornings and warm afternoons… But the proximity to the water made it feel a little cooler than I expected!! I am totally fine with cool temps these days!!
Back to the grind…
What?! No way!!
Yes way…sadly. 😦
While I would have loved “average temps” this weekend, that isn’t probably going to happen… Crossing fingers and toes for a better outlook closer to race morning!!
Prairie Spirit Trail 50K
This is the week!!…and I am super nervous!!
While I didn’t spend my supper training for a 50K, I did complete a marathon training cycle in prep for a possible fall marathon 🙂
…not to mention the heat that will happen Saturday afternoon 😦
Also with my first 50k experience is the first time I have wanted or needed to have drop bags…
Nothing like adding a little more nervousness to the weekend!
I believe I am going use 2 bags – the first bag will be accessed twice…so technically 3 bags (but really only two!) – confusing, yes.
What do you put in your drop bag? I am thinking about shoes, socks, shorts, hydration tabs (not sure what kind will be at the manned aide stations…better safe than sorry!)…maybe some honey and a snack.
…is growing us so fast!!
Where is the time going?!
He still has super sweet times (like wanting to cuddle before bed) but most of the time he is a whirlwind of craziness 🙂
Have you ever tried a coffee + protein combo?? I do it all the time!
What if I told you there was a product that was both!! Enter CLICK protein + espresso!!
I will be doing a full review and giveaway later this month…but I thought that I would give you head start on the goodness!!
It comes in Mocha, Vanilla, and Caramel (my favorite!). Try a sample pack today!!
happy mail day(s)
Don’t you love coming home to a package at your door??

I love the “share the spark” campaigns. It’s how I was introduced to Momentum wraps.
