I was okay with it then…I am just going with the flow!
[breakfast] eggs + bacon + hash browns (too many…)
I woke up the following morning to a breakfast spread 🙂 The bacon was soon eaten by my mini…
“I need more bacon!”
[morning snack] HTWO water + Starbucks
I ran a quick errand (to Starbucks) and took along a pack of HTWO water.
It is infused with hydrogen ions and claims to help with lactic acid, relieves inflammation, reduces fatigue, and boosts metabolism. I drank a bottle the night before the 50k, the morning of, after the race, and the morning after… I have drank a bottle each day since and am now out of my samples.
Does it work? Probably! I was not running after my first marathon for a bit…and I am not 100%, but I am way better off than I was back then!
[lunch] Q39 – smoked chicken + ribs + seasonal vegetables + cornbread + some of the hubs fries 🙂
This meal was AMAZING!! From the great taste, the price couldn’t be beat! The meat was delish, the vegetables were perfect…it was all great!!
[afternoon snack] a taste or three of beer samples…
[dinner] Longhorn Steakhouse – artichoke dip (not pictured) + onion straws (not pictured) + bread (not pictured) + salad with ranch + steak + shrimp wrapped in bacon + cheesy grits + broccoli
Wow oh wow! The appetizers basically were my meal…I was almost full before our food was brought out!
The shrimp and cheesy grits were the best!! Yes, way better than the steak 🙂
Needless to say, I had a pretty amazing lunch on Monday!!
[evening snack] chocolate cake 🙂
Yeah…somehow I crammed a 1/2 slice of chocolate cake in my already full tummy… And it was amazing!!
I should have taken a picture of the inside of the cake – layers of cake and chocolate pudding filling – yummy… HBD Hubs!!
