Weekly Workout

marathon training w10

This was a great week of running! Not a great week for my foot pain and blisters…but that comes with the territory, I guess. I decided to rally with a fellow RTY2016 member to run, walk, crawl 10 miles for 10 days… I made it through the week, but didn’t get the miles on Saturday. Oh well, I made a great effort to help someone else try to meet their goals 🙂

Marathon Training – Week 10

Sunday- rest  walk day

I do not do well with rest days…so the little man and I went on a long, WINDY walk to Orange Leaf for some frozen yogurt! The hubs met us there and took us back home after 🙂

Monday- 8 miles – interval run + 3 miles east pace

I did the semi-crazy thing to volunteer to run-walk-crawl 10 miles for 10 days with a few other #2016in2016 members. Well, I just ended my interval run (10 minute warm up, 1k@10K pace-75 second rest x5, 10 minute run) a decent distance from home and just took an easy run home.

At lunch, I went for a relaxing 3 mile walk (with a leap for the day!).

Tuesday- 5.2 miles – easy paced run

I got up in plent of time to get my run in for the day. I spent the 70+ minutes talking with the Lord about my mom’s situation…

4.5 miles – “easy” paced run (but faster than usual…)

I was able to get away for a lucky run as well – just some time to clear my head.

Since I was a little short on my 10 miles for the day, I walked in place for 0.4 miles in the evening while the little man played outside 🙂

Wednesday- threshold run + easy miles

Threshold run (10-10-10) followed by 5 miles of easy paced running – no thoughts, just running…

Some runs are just a time to clear your mind. That is exactly what this run was for. I wrote a letter to my mom (in my head of course), I talked to my dad (in my head), and pleaded with the Lord for the strength and understanding to deal with difficult situations in my life…

Thursday- “rest” easy run

Neighborhood running at its finest!

Friday- 10 mile – easy run

I had that happy-dance moment when I checked my watch close to home…expected it to say 8.5 miles, but it said 9.5 miles!! Bonus!! Then 400 miles badge…double bonus!!

Saturday- 5.5 mile – easy run

An easy paced stroller run…cut short. Oh well.
