Workout Recap
Monday- no workout
Tuesday- 42.8 miles biked with The United Relay of America
The hubs dropped me off in Abilene in the morning and I spent the day biking from Abilene, through Chapman, through Junction City (a hiccup in the route due to the military base…bummer), drove to Ogden and started back up to Manhattan!
It was a great day, slow and steady, despite the constant headwind and hills (DO NOT let anyone tell you Kansas is FLAT, my legs are dead…)… My brief recap can be read here.
Wednesday- 2.4 mile lunch run
Thursday-no workout
Friday- 3.25 mile morning run
Saturday-13.15 miles – Bill Snyder Highway Half pacing 2:30 group
Sunday- 1.5 mile walk with little man around the River Pond area at Tuttle Creek State Park
Weekly Miles : 24.5 running miles, 42.8 biking miles
731 / 2,016 miles in 2016
This Week’s Projected Workouts
Another week down! While I was ready to take a break from “training” and start building my base for this fall, I was approached to see if I would be willing to pace ONE MORE race this spring, and it is a BIG ONE. I will be pacing the Hospital Hill Half Marathon on June 4th! I have been itching to register for this race but held back due to the possibility of being able to pace it…and now I am!
In the coming weeks, I am going to try and mix up my routine with more foam rolling, stick rolling, yoga, and extra hills workouts – I usually save my hilly workouts for the weekend, but that is already on the docket in a couple weeks!
Hospital Hill Half Marathon – June 4th : co-pacing 2:50
Check out some awesome #linkups this week!
As always, there is the great Weekly Wrap link-up with Holly and Tricia! I found a new Monday linkup called #MotivateMe Monday, hosted by Lucie, Janice, and Rachel! Also, check out Ilka and Angela’s Sunday Fitness & Food link up!
Check out the Tuesday’s on the Run gang as well: Patty, Erika, & Marcia! I am also linking up with Angelina Marie, Annmarie, Nicole, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday 🙂 Check out the new Coaches Corner linkup with Suz, Rachel, Debbie, and Lora.

Awesome workout week! Congrats again on pacing and running the Bill Snyder Half! Nice medal! I’m sure all that biking helps your running, too!

Oh, the biking is fun, but I’ll probably stick to a few miles here and there…and not a long-distance event like the United Relay experience 😆

Oh wow 42 miles that is awesome! I’m not sure I could do that! I keep wanting to try a race course it would not be a race for me more like a fun ride! It would be something different !
