in-between week | Weekly Workouts

Weekly Workouts

Monday- I wasn’t able to get in a morning workout…but I did everything else, including go to the grocery store for a couple necessities. I made an agreement with little man and was able to get in a workout and run in the evening!

Tuesday- I was able to get up for an awesome morning run! 7 miles for the soul.

Wednesday- Another morning run! I might be getting good about getting up and running early…

Thursday- Morning run – done!

Friday- Delayed start to the day – a short walk to get blood flowing!

Saturday- A productive run 🙂

Sunday- Enough of a run to keep my streak alive 🙂

Weekly Miles : 23 miles

804 / 2,016 miles in 2016

Next Week’s Projected Workouts

“Off week” is now over…and training starts again next week! I am done pacing half marathons this spring! I survived! My next pacing adventure is in CO in August…

My next “training plan” schedule starts next week. While I am not “training” for any race in particular this fall, I am set to pace 3 races, with the possibility of at least 1 more… I just want to have a plan to follow over the summer to keep my fitness up and my legs moving 🙂 Also, I am running 2,016 miles in 2016 – and I have a little catching up to do! I might do some more walking to catch up on the miles 🙂

  1. I’m in the off season right now for a few more weeks and then I kick back into running some serious miles. I still like having a plan though to stay motivated, so I try to stick to MWF CrossFit, TuTh runs and as much movement as possible on weekends :).

  2. Your in-between week was the perfect time to skip an alarm or two. How cool there are apps out there that will tell you when your friends go running. That would be pretty motivational for me! I will start training in a few weeks for Chicago. I’m not looking forward to the heat and humidity though. Thanks for linking with us Lindsey!

  3. The weather here in Ontario isn’t too hot yet, which is great! I can’t imagine training in the humid summer weather (which will start around July here) but I’ll have to learn to stand the heat since I’m training all summer since I have my first triathlon in August!

    1. First tri! That’s awesome! The morning isn’t “too hot” in the 70s…it’s the 70-80% humidity that gets me! I read an article that it takes typically 2-3 weeks for your body to acclimate to the heat…I’m not sure I want to get used to it!

  4. Great week of running! I’ve been guilty of oversleeping and getting a late start on my runs. It’s amazing the difference just a few hours makes with this heat. I will begin training for marathon #3 in July. It’s been nice not to follow a specific plan. I’ve had a goal of 20-25 miles a week to maintain a base, but I don’t worry if I have to cut a run short when I’m not feeling it.
