Somedays, the weather is hot and you just want to cool of. The perfect meal or snack is a smoothie 🙂 I had a few recipes to try and tweak and when they are good, you want to drink them all up, and pronto! Today was a high fruit sugars/carbs day for sure…but it was a good one! Enjoy!
[drinks] 60 oz water + Nuun Energy tab + 20 oz cold tea
[morning run] I sure do long the routine of getting up in the morning to run or workout!
[breakfast] smoothie bowl (you can check out the recipe on my GIVEAWAY post!) + chia + ground flax seeds + hemp hearts + blueberries + raspberries
[morning snack] blueberry mango smoothie (…another recipe on my GIVEAWAY post!)
[lunch] kale veggie burger + 2 egg whites/1 egg + cheese + sandwich skinny
Get in my tummy RIGHT NOW! Someone asked me if that “meat” was safe to eat – referring to my green kale veggie burger… Ha! It did look like something I shouldn’t be eating…but it was soooooo good!
[afternoon snack] carrots
[dinner] 1/2 sweet potato + venison/tomato mix + cottage cheese + quinoa mac & cheese
The potato meal is a go to for me…so good! I was trying the quinoa mac & cheese since I won a box…I think that I needed to let it cook a little longer before I drained it. We both still ate it. After this picture was taken, the little man decided to eat all of his meal, another hot dog, and the other 1/2 of my sweet potato…growing much?! Some days, he barely eats what I serve the first time, let alone eat a second meal…
