The start of the week was a little messy with my workouts due to moving runs around to accommodate for a longer run on Monday…when the weather was nicer. Oh well, my “training plan” is still just an outline of workouts to keep moving and keep my training going through the summer. Hiccups will happen…hopefully not every week! I was able to mix things up a little this week with the little man away from home…gym time? Yes, please!
Weekly Workouts
Monday- I waited a bit too long to go for my “nice, long run”…and it was hot. Live and learn – 10 miles in the books for #2016in2016, my first miles of the #AmerithonChallenge, and a run for the !
Tuesday- Due to traveling back home early and a long day at work, I decided to hit up the gym after work…oh yeah! I have SPENT TIME at the gym since before we had little man…so this was a nice change of pace! Treadmill, check! Dry sauna, check!
Wednesday- Another day without the kiddo = another day at the gym! Treadmill, check! Yoga, check! Dry sauna, check! 🙂
Thursday- legit rest day…
Friday- a hot, humid morning run…and a hot runch run!
Saturday- a humid, slow, horrible run…can’t win them all these days!
Sunday- a nice morning run with new friends on the Konza
Weekly Miles : 40.1 miles

How did your training week go? What are you training for?
I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment and start a conversation!
I love that Americana Run medal! Congrats on having a 40 mile week even after moving your runs around a bit and dealing with the heat. I can’t keep my HR down in this heat & humidity. Once it spikes going up a hill, it stays there. It’s great you got some gym time this week. Thanks for inking with us Lindsey!

Wow! That is a great week!! I know what you mean about waiting to do long runs… I could not do my long run until noon today and the heat was oppressive… Thanks for linking up with Sunday Fitness & Food. Hope you are having a Great Week!! 🙂

Thanks! I would rather start my long run before the sun comes up…less heat and potential great view!

Great job starting off a Monday with a 10 miler! That is impressive. I have to admit that I haven’t logged any long distance miles in a bit- been focusing on speed work this summer!

Yeah…that 10 should have been on Saturday…but the weather didn’t allow for it. Get it in where I can! 😀
