Weekly Workout

summer session w5 | Weekly Workouts

I really struggled with getting my workouts early this week…a mix of the hubs working early and late, needing to be around in the morning to take little man to daycare, and late evenings, I just didn’t get around early enough to take advantage of my mornings. Oh well…it happens. I am glad that I was able to talk the hubs into taking the evening shift with little man on Wednesday (his day off this week) so I could get in my run after work at the gym 🙂 Hello post-run dry sauna!

I also am adding my daily step count to my weekly workout posts – I always have a goal of 10K steps a day, no matter if I am running or not. This way, I have a little more accountability of this goal!…

Weekly Workouts

Monday- A slow start to the morning sent me to the gym over my lunch 🙂 – 5K (14,366 steps)

Tuesday- As a “cross training” day, I started the morning with 20-25 minutes of an Insanity workout (a little boy interrupted my efforts) and went for an easy lunch walk (11,788 steps)

Wednesday- Due to a little early riser (due to the early bedtime last night), I wasn’t able to get out for a run before work. I decided to go to the Power Lunch workout class at the gym over my lunch and I talked the hubs into picking up little man at daycare so I can get in my interval run after work 🙂 Hello post-run dry sauna! (18,830 steps)

Thursday- rest day…in it’s truest form. A case of the DOMS kept me from moving around all that much, but I did stretch and foam roll in the evening  (5,944 steps)

Friday- Well, I was able to get up early this morning, but the messy house got in my way. I wanted to get in my easy run, but life happens and I didn’t get any miles… (5,466 steps)

Saturday- A weekend without little man means that momma can (1)  sleep in…or (2) go for a longer run without feeling like I need to RUSH home… Probably #2 : )  (37,236 steps)

Sunday- Another awesome, early morning  run out at the Konza (15,983 steps)

Weekly Miles : 31 workout miles

958 / 2,016 miles in 2016

  1. Even after having to juggle things around, you still have a great week. I overslept this morning for the first time this year. I didn’t feel bad though — I figure it’s my body’s way of saying “you need to rest”. I also had a little DOMS this week after my weekend Tri. I guess it’s to be expected sometimes. Thanks for linking, Lindsey!

  2. My training has been SO off lately! Mostly because of travel and sickness (darn strep), I really am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things with a long run this weekend!
