This Tuesday, Erika, Marcia, and Patty discussed their bucket list races! I posted a couple race recaps – so I waited until later in the week to think about my list! Let’s dive in!
Running Bucket List
Big Sur International Marathon
The Big Sur International MArathon has been on my bucket list for a while. I never quite understood how a race lottery worked until I submitted to the “First Timers Lottery” for Big Sur! A friend of mine told me about the lottery and we both registered.
The day of the acceptances, I text Michelle, hoping that at least she got in! No dice. Bummer. I ended up getting accepted into this amazing marathon,…but ended up passing on my registration due to money issues and the fact that my pal didn’t get in. If I could, I would have totally given her my acceptance, but that isn’t allowed.
We will try again next year, and the year after, and so on… Someday, if the CRAZY odds are in our favor, we will be able to run Big Sur together!
A Ragnar Relay
Who wouldn’t want to pile into a van and run for 2+ days with little to no sleep or recovery?!
Pick me!
From all of the reviews of Ragnar experiences, I would love to be able to have a team of friends running through the day and night for a good cause 🙂 Heck, I would love to know enough runners to even THINK TO MAKE a Ragnar team!
Any (and/or all) of the Major Marathons
Tokyo. Boston. London. Berlin. Chicago. New York City.
Pick one…or pick them all! I would love to be able to travel to a MAJOR marathon to run with the largest crowds around! Yeah, I will probably get claustrophobic…but with the right running buddy, I would truly have an amazing time! Plus, I could ALWAYS use an international vacation 🙂
A Mainly Marathon week
One of my goals is to be able to complete a Mainly Marathon week of runs. I found Mainly’s a while back but I have had a hard time figuring out the timing of a race week to do! While the Midwest races would be “close to home”…any of the regional locations would be a great experience!
Did you ever give up a bucket list race that you were chosen in the lottery?
What majors have you ran? Worth the time and money?
How many races, back to back, have you run?
Check out the link-up with Erika, Marcia, and Patty and see what everyone is talking about this week!
