Well, I am officially through my first week of marathon training for 2017! I am pacing the Garmin Marathon in April 🙂 Yeah, this was my first marathon (ever) last year and I have learned a lot! I am excited to be able to pace this race! Here we go!
Monday- Since I had the day off work and little man was at daycare, I decided to go for a long run! I found a lot of other things to do during the morning and early afternoon…and the hubs kept asking, “Soooo…are you going to go run?” Finally…I went!
Day 2 – 15 miles • While my new training plan didn't call for major miles today, I planned a longer run due to a day off work, a babysitter, and "decent"weather ❤ I started WAY later than I wanted, but got it done! • #runitfast #fitmomstrongmom #zensah #oisellevolée #bibchat #irun4aidennicole #iamempowered #RKRunner
Tuesday- Since the weather is cold in the morning, I pushed my run to lunchtime. Yeah…it didn’t really get warm so my run was still quite cold.
Just keep running – first interval run of the new training cycle. Phew! Wednesday- Since I didn’t care to be in the cold, I decided to head to the gym.
Thursday- Even though it is a “rest day”, I headed to the gym to walk my miles for the day! A routine is what I need right now…and a day off is not in the cards…
While "rest" should always be a part of my running routine, I just want to keep my routine. • I was still able to keep my rest day "restful" with a 6 mile treadmill walk at the gym 😀 No sense in getting cold and wet in the fresh snow ❄❄ • How are you getting active today? #oisellevolée #fitmomstrongmom #bibchat #zensah #irun4aidennicole #iamempowered #RKRunner
Friday- Yeah…another gym day!
Saturday- Well, the gym doesn’t open until later in the morning…bums! So, I headed out with the crew! My feet didn’t last more than one lap… Oh well – you win some, you lose some. Take what you can get! My Knuckle Lights sure lit the way! I am testing these running lights as a ambassador for BibRave. Not quite the run I set out for, but I'll take what I can get!! New shoes + 2 pair of socks + @yaktraxtraction = sore feet and calves from the start… • At least I was brace enough to brace the cold for a few miles! 6 miles hardly feels like a "long run" for me…but it will have to do for now. • My @knuckle.lights lit my path brilliantly! Sunday- While my day didn’t start with a mile (or few), it finished up with one while the hubs was making dinner 🙂

Next Week’s Projected Workouts
I plan on hitting the gym most mornings this week…or at least the ones that are less than 30 degrees… We will have a warmer week and might have some easy 2-a-days to take advantage of the afternoon warmth while keeping my early morning routine.
