Monday- I’m not starting off the week all that great…went to bed on time, but I was restless and couldn’t stay asleep… I wanted to go to the gym this morning because the weather was going to be funny and I “enjoy” my interval workouts on the treadmill.
Oh well…at least I was able to get out for a mile over my lunch break!
Tuesday- I needed several alarms and a not-so-perky hubs to get me out of bed this morning. “Go run…” is what he grunted at me (…probably since I went to bed “early” the night before so I could ATTEMPT to get out for a run before work). Success!! While I wish that I would have just ran outside, the interval workouts are WAY “easier” when on a treadmill…for me.
Wednesday- This week is just not my week – I was successful getting out of bed yesterday, but the snooze almost won the morning today! I was able to get out for a quick, wet mile… While my training plan isn’t quite on track this week, I will be okay!
Last weekend #WickedHalfMarathon proved to me that I am NOT a fair weather runner… Yeah, being freezing and wet in a race is no fun, but I lived to tell the tale • This morning, a mix of snoozes, dishes, and laundry got the best of my time…and I didn't really feel like driving to the gym for a short run. So I got out my seasoned rain coat and puddle stomped my way through a mile around the block! • Good thing I have my @smellwell.se to help my shoes dry out and smell great! I also used #SmellWellUSA in my shoes after Saturday's wet half marathon! #bibravepro #bibchat
Thursday- Since this week has been a mess and still raining, I decided to get up
on time early and get out to the gym! I knew I wanted to get in 8-10 easy miles before the weekend…long, easy runs are my favorite and I was able to catch up with some Netflix as well 🙂
Friday- I feel like a successful human when I wake up close to on time and am able to get out for a great run before the sun comes up!
Saturday- There’s nothing like a pending thunderstorm to put a damper on a long run…
I woke up a little late, which didn’t help. I checked the weather report around 4:20am and the storm would be within 30 miles around 5:30am…so I decided to head out for a few miles.
As I was running, I realized that since the gym opens at 7am, I could then go to the gym to get another 5-6 miles before the hubs needs to be up and getting ready for work…so I headed to the gym!
Better safe than sorry… While I was late getting out, I kept my first morning run as long as I could with impending weather coming in… Lightening in the distance can really make my HR jump and legs move a little faster! • I decided to head to the gym for a couple more of the miles I planned today. Since the gym opens at 7am today (vs 24hrs the rest of the days of the week…smh), I have time to pack up my new @eaglecreek sport bags! Bonus, @smellwell.se is going to keep my shoes smelling fresh! #eaglecreek #bibchat #bibravepro • Since I have time to spare, a little coffee will help me pass the time ❤❤ • #garminrocks #sweatpink #iamempowered #oisellevolée #runhappy #werunsocial #nuunhydration #nuunyear17 #2017in2017 #runtheyear2017 #RTY2017 #ffcheckin #beatyesterday #gotoshoe #thankyourunning #brooksrunning #RunSquad2017 #zensah #irun4aidennicole
While we got no rain, the storms with the lightening strikes were within 15 miles…so I stayed safe and went to the gym for a few more miles. • I was stocked up with @beachbodyperformance #HYDRATE to keep me hydrated and strong – and I followed up with some #RECOVER to help my muscles recover! Check out my blog post for more details on this line of supplements 👍👍 • My @eaglecreek sport bags worked out great for their first gym run! I see these being put to good use!! #EagleCreek #bibchat #bibravepro
Sunday- I didn’t feel like getting wet this morning, so I waited for the slightly warmer afternoon temps to get out and run. With the focus on my HR, I kept the uphills slow slow, and was still able to hit a 9:30 downhill with an average of 133 HR! Low and slow…
Today's run was less about the miles and pace – but I wanted to keep my HR under 140 the whole time. With the exception of a watch glitch that put me in the 180s for a couple seconds, I was successful and kept a 133 average!! Low and slow… • #garminrocks #FitFluential #sweatpink #iamempowered #oisellevolée #runhappy #werunsocial #nuunhydration #nuunyear17 #2017in2017 #runtheyear2017 #RTY2017 #ffcheckin #beatyesterday #gotoshoe #thankyourunning #brooksrunning #runitfast #BibRavePro #BibChat #RunSquad2017 #zensah #irun4aidennicole
Weekly Miles : 48 miles
691 / 2,017 miles in 2017
Next Week’s Projected Workouts
Next week might be a mixed bag… Since I didn’t get as many miles throughout the past week as a whole, this doesn’t mean that I am going to try and “catch up” this week.
I have a busy weekend ahead! I will be pacing the Rock The Parkway with the Smart Pacing team with the 2:40 group – and then after a quick shower and change, a group of us crazies are loading up and on the road to STL for the GO! St. Louis Marathon (half marathon for me…). Busy weekend…so excited!
Will I be seeing you at either event?? Shout it out!!
