What happens when you are not prepared for meals for the week? You grab and go and keep it simple!!

What I Ate Wednesday

[morning workout] 40 minutes – Insanity Pure Cardio

[breakfast] Beachbody Performance Energize & Hydrate

I wasn’t hungry after my workout…and I needed to take the remainder of my energize and hydrate to work. I didn’t grab anything else on my way out…but my morning snack came early today  : )

[morning snack] apple + Wildwaygrain-free banana nut granola + Once Againcreamy cashew butter + chia seeds + hemp hearts

I sure do love my morning apple “desert” snack : )

The Once Again nut butters come in so many flavors! I love their almond butter– but I have also tried the cashew butter(currently on my desk at work and on my apple today!), sunflower seedbutter, and creamy peanutbutter.

Also, there are several flavors of Wildway* granola – I won a giveaway quite a while ago and am still working my way through all the flavors. I have the banana nut at work currently – and I am super excited to try the Coconut Cashew next  : )

I can’t forget about my reused Nuun Hydration* tubes for my chia seeds and hemp hearts!

[lunch] EAS chocolate protein drink + Lara Bar*

Between not being all that hungry and being busy, I didn’t get to eat lunch on time since I planned on going for a run. I decided to go for a simple snack with some protein and a Lara bar. Easily digestible and ready to run in no time!

[workout] 4 miles on the trail

It feel like an everyday occurrence that I am dodging weather events…and today wasn’t any different!

There were small rain cells coming through and a larger network of storms coming in later in the afternoon…but as I was heading back off the trail, the clouds looked like I was about to get POURED on!! So I ran FAST back to work…I only planned on running 4 miles…but I had enough time for another mile (if I REALLY wanted to keep running…).

[afternoon snack] 1 egg + 3 egg whites + 1/2 avocado + roma tomato + 2oz turkey

I am all about eating eggs for easy protein – so I nuked 4 eggs (3 whites) and topped them with avocado, tomato, and salt n’ spice. I then wrapped 1/2 of the roma tomato (sliced in 3 pieces) with sliced turkey.

Simple – and gone!

[dinner] sweet potato + sour cream + 1/2 avocado + spices + steamed broccoli

Another simple meal! Little man wanted chicken nuggets – but I wanted a sweet potato…so I made 2 different meals. It happens…he also ate some avocado and broccoli  : )
