The cold is here. And I feel like I would be okay with how cold it is if there were snow on the ground…not sure why. The warmer temps are a welcome sight/feel, but that just means that winter is going to be bitter once it does get and stay cold…

Winter is here and I was slightly okay with the fact that I couldn’t run this morning (hubs was out deer hunting). I am glad that it is going to be in the upper 40s for my lunchtime run!
Today, I headed for the trails over my lunch break. While I would love to take these runs a little easier, my HR has a different idea. Oh well, better luck next time!
The winter cold is here – in a BIG way! We have been lucky this fall/winter so far and Mother Nature is making up for lost time. Soooo…I headed to the gym.
While I had a super long day at work, I was able to cut away for a quite, stress releasing 2 miles! I guess that since I didn’t take a picture that it didn’t happen…if we are friends on Strava, GarminConnect, or MapMyRun, then you can see it 🙂
While I found myself wanting to run home a couple times (soooo cold), I knew that I would need to get the miles tomorrow as well…so I got a little lost in my podcast and finished the full 14 – 13 solo (or behind the group) and then 1 with Miss Paisley.

I decided to forgo the morning, cold run and waited until later in the day…when it was nearly 60 rather than in the 30s! Little man and I headed out on a different route than planned…but with the darkness coming so quickly these days, I didn’t want to be too far from home… We stopped by a park and played for a bit and I noticed the sun starting to fade and we headed home. I intended on completing my miles once I put little man down for the night, but the hubs was out later than expected…and the miles are left for someone else to run (…or me to run tomorrow…who am I kidding?!).
