This week has been a hodgepodge of temps…morning chill and afternoon warmth midweek opened up a few shorter double days. Bring on the spring warmth!! Too bad it only lasted a few days…but spring is coming soon!
I am only a week away from my next 50K – a 50K that is going to put some major stress on my running/hiking skills since I didn’t hit the more technical trails at all this cycle… : ) So exciting!
weekly workouts : week 12 (feb 12)
Tuesday- 4 miles
Oh my goodness…while I am a morning runner, when the afternoon temps are going to be in the 50s+, I am totally running in the afternoon!! There are a few days this week that are going to be amazing!!
10 miles 11.5 miles (8 morning + 3.5 afternoon)
An amazing morning run with Angie and then some beautiful WARM miles on the road/trail/road over lunch 🙂
The weather this week is really calling me outside…and I should really be tapering.
It’s a battle…
Another amazing morning! The warmest morning since last fall…yeah! I just wished that I had more miles to run so I could enjoy the temps a little more…but I KNOW it isn’t going to last long…
Friday- 2 miles
My Friday’s are technically 2 miles or cross training or rest…and many weeks I have chosen the rest option… I wanted to go to the gym this morning for some yoga, but then I realized that I haven’t gone through the gym yoga class in a long, long time…and my race is next weekend. Probably not a good idea to add “something new” to my routine at this time…maybe in a couple weeks.
But since I was able to get off work a little early today, I was able to hit my trail loop for a 1 mile out and 1 mile back for my 2 miles!
Last “long run” before the race next weekend 🙂 While 10 miles doesn’t feel quite like a long run, it felt good to get out in the cold!
Last B2B long run complete for this training cycle! I ran from home to the trail, around the trail and back home – the 25-35 mph wind gusts made it a little more interesting on my way out, but at least it was on my side/back on my way home 🙂
Weekly Miles : nearly 42 miles
Training Miles : 530 miles
Annual Miles : 317 miles (goal = 2,018 in 2018)

Monday- 4 miles
Tuesday- 3 miles
Thursday- 2 miles
Saturday- Psycho Wyco Run Toto Run – 50K
Sunday- rest or run…but probably rest : )
