Where has the time gone!?

The Hospital Hill 5K was one of the first races I completed after the birth of my son in January 2014. The Hospital Hill race weekend is typically the first weekend in June and this year is the same – June 1-2.

Similar to other mother runners, I came back to running on my own terms and too fast. My first Hospital Hill weekend really hurt my legs because I was not used to running those KC hills!

Honestly, I was nervous that I was ever going to be able to walk right again. It was a bad, bad time for me. After a few (like 5-6) months away from running, I was able to gradually work my way back into running, smarter this time, and I haven’t looked back since!

This year marks my 5th Hospital Hill weekend – and I will be running the Re-Run event!

The Re-Run involves running the 5K on Friday night and either the 10K or half marathon on Saturday morning – I have signed up for the half marathon. I guess I can’t get enough of those KC hills 🙂

Through the years, the Hospital Hill races have come up with some of the most interesting swag! This year, they are giving the participants a great looking duffel bag! This will go nicely with my Hospital Hill backpack, flip flops, pajama pants, hats, etc. from previous Hospital Hill finishes : )

I can only hope that I have at least peaked your interest in signing up for this amazing race! I will once again be running in BRIGHT ORANGE this year as a BibRave Pro and I want you to come and run the hills with me!!

Use the code “BIBHHR18” at checkout for 15% off your registration of any distance!

With the next price increase coming up TOMORROW March 1st, I urge you to register today and save a little cash!! Use that savings at the Health and Fitness Expo 🙂

Plus, I would love to beat one or two of my previous Hospital Hill race PRs – Athlinks is a great resource for finding your previous finishes!
