Another week of 2018 coming to a close! At work, we are deep in the planning and prepping for 2019…and I am like “SLOW DOWN TIME!!” This past week, I finally posted about my Hawk100 experience – settle in for the long haul, it’s a BIG one!

This past week we didn’t get out to run a whole lot – little man got in some of his first miles with me running – and I think he is excited for more! Miss Paisley has been taking her backyard cross training seriously…but that is about it. We didn’t get out much this week (thank you snooze button) but we are starting to think about the next Scooby-Doo Virtual Run in October!

Scooby-Doo Virtual Race Series | Spooktober 5K/10K

What is more fun than running with your pup? Running a RACE with your pup!!

Miss Paisley are I registered for the Scooby-Doo Virtual Race Series for September and October. Since these races are run “virtually”, we can plan for it anytime throughout the month. We completed the Doo Good 5K on September 30th and had a great time!

The second race in the Scooby-Doo Virtual Race Series is the Spooktober 5K/10K. You can join Paisley and I virtually towards the end of the month to run the 10K! We still have a couple weeks of training and I know she is going to do awesome!

weekly workouts : sept 10-16

Monday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : OFF –
While little man and I wanted to get outside after a long day at work/daycare, we opted to clean up the house. He made a mess in the living room (and then cleaned it up) and I cleaned out the refrigerator – like all the way out…shelves, drawers, interior, and even threw away a bunch of stuff we forgot about!

Tuesday
Scheduled : Manhattan Brew Tour (tour stop #1) – Liquid Art Winery
Actual : 1.35 miles with little man

Morning running has not quite started yet…and I really just need to make it happen! Tonight is the first of 4 Brew Tour group runs with our local Tuesday night running group. This week, we met up at Liquid Art Winery for a few miles. Since little man’s stroller is still out of commission with a flat tire, I decided to see if he would just run/walk a mile with me…and that he did! He even wanted to go farther from the turnaround point I set! He did so good (after falling on his hands/knees in the first 10 steps and crying for a bit)!

Wednesday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : OFF

Thursday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : 4.65 miles

I took my lunch break as a runch break today – it is starting to cool off, thankfully!

Friday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : 1.5 mile walk + 4 miles

I was able to get out for a walk over lunch and took the pup out for a 4 mile run after work. This was the first run that felt good! My pace was still slowish, but my heart rate was in a great spot and I felt like a runner again!

Saturday – Sunday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : OFF

Today was the day to bite the bullet and just get going for a long run! I need to prove to myself that I can still run a little distance – my next half marathon to pace is in a few short weeks, so this needed to happen now! Too bad the weather had other plans…

Weekly Miles : 10 miles
Annual Miles : 1824 miles (goal = 2,018 in 2018)

Miles, miles, miles! Check out the weekly workout
