Well…I can say that I have fallen off the wagon, but then the wagon needed to exist in the first place…haha!!
I have been flying by the seat of my pants for a while now…but last week was the ending of one workout schedule and the weather has been grrrrrooooooossssss…
Let’s see how the past couple of weeks went!

weekly workouts : week 4
Monday
Scheduled : T20 Burn + 40 minute run
Actual : T20 Burn — I headed home over my lunch break and got today’s workout done – with some puppy assistance of course!

Tuesday
Scheduled : T20 Faster
Actual : T20 Faster
Somehow, I was able to get up early and stay on track! At least for today…not so much the rest of the week (spoiler alert!).
Wednesday
Scheduled : T20 Strength + 30 minute run (intervals)
Actual : OFF
Thursday
Scheduled : T20 Powerful
Actual : 55 minute run/walk (3min run + 45sec walk)
The weather was nice enough for me to head outside for a lunch run! The snow was nice (packed by a vehicle on the trail) so that made the trek a little easier!
Friday – Sunday
Scheduled : no solid plans…
Actual : OFF
The hubs, kiddo, and I headed to KC Friday morning…but not together. I headed out with coworkers for a trade show and the hubs/kiddo headed out to chill out with family (and ride bikes) for the day. Once my work day was over, my dad came and picked me up and took me to my in-laws. We had a great dinner before the hubs and I headed back to Manhattan (and left the little behind). My MIL made me these two AMAZING tee shirt quilts (layouts of my making) and she wanted to take a picture of them before we left. So awesome!!

Back in Manhattan, I had grand plans of going to the gym (while little man was away this weekend) that just didn’t pan out. I opted for just relaxing around the house, going to a birthday party with the hubs, and lazing around the house… A day (or weekend) off from time to time is going to be planned from now on 🙂
After the “giving up” of living room workouts in week 4, I decided eventually in week 5 that I needed to buck up and get some kind of workouts in!
Granted, my gusto to workout didn’t happen until the END of the week…but welcome to the party that is my life! I also thought that I would start up some biking (at the gym of course)…so we’ll see how that pans out, ha!
weekly workouts : week 5
Monday – Wednesday
Scheduled : a couple of running days…
Actual : OFF, nada, nothing…

Thursday
Scheduled : no true plan
Actual : T20 Strength + T20 Powerful
A double workout kind of morning! I wanted to do the EPIC Shaun-A-Thon workout, but that will wait until tomorrow (or Saturday…let’s be real!). I even had a workout buddy…who doubled as a distraction when necessary…
Friday
Scheduled : no true plan
Actual : T20 Shaun-A-Thon (morning) + 2 miles with the pup (afternoon)

Saturday
Scheduled : 95 minute run/walk
Actual : OFF
Sunday
Scheduled : OFF
Actual : 4 mile treadmill run/walk — Not the “time” I needed for my long run this week, but just getting to the gym for a workout was a success! I am SOOOOOOO ready for winter to be over!

Weekly Workouts : 5 workouts
Total 2019 miles : 44.85 miles
Miles, miles, miles! Check out the weekly workout

We have had such cold, windy, icy, snowy (did I mention cold?) weather in Iowa. My runs have been short because I just CANNOT go any longer than five miles on the treadmill. Once (ONCE!), I did six miles and it was super ugly LOL

Oh man! I somehow stomached up to nearly 20 miles on the treadmill last year when training for my 100-miler…I have NO CLUE how I did that!! I couldn’t stand it for the 4 miles on Sunday… Bring on the warmth!!

wow that quilt is amazing!!! I have so many shirts and I feel bad getting rid of them. What a great idea!
so when you say “week 4 and 5” are those training weeks for your half? just trying to understand because at the moment I’m just using the calendar week numbers for my weekly wrap.
I’m training for a PR 10K and 5K before the 24th of March… and I’m not quite there yet but have two more chances. After that I’m having foot surgery so no more running until *maybe* mid or end of May…
sorry I’m so late to your weekly run down! this week has been tough getting online.

Hey! Yes, the week 4-5 are the weeks leading up to the half I am pacing in May. I wish I could be getting out more but (A) I hate the treadmill and (B) this weather is a mess! Playing it safe on the roads and trail right now, but miles should be picking up soon!!
