I have been bad about updating my weekly happenings, other than workouts – so this is a hodgepodge of photos from the past couple of weeks (you can read about the workouts here)! Mostly, I wanted to show a little fun from our Christmas happenings 🙂
Christmas Eve’s Eve
Starting before Christmas, I attended 2 Christmas lunches – in the same day! We had a Chee-Wings-Day at work (snack days are not difficult to come up with or participate in) and Christmas dinner at the hub’s work.
Once home, I quickly put together the grandparents Christmas presents. I knew that I wanted to do something DIY with the little man’s help. These are the final product! I was quite happy about how they turned out – seeing as little man just wanted to smear the paint all around the instant his hand came near the plate.
I also packed up some of my homemade jalapeno jelly and apple butter.
Christmas Eve
We took it pretty easy at the parents house for a couple days, it was nice relaxing for the holidays. One of my best friends came over with her daughter and we just chatted while they played.
We went to my parents house for dinner and gifts this evening. My sister, her daughter, my brother, and dad were all there to veg out and enjoy some company. My mom is still in the hospital and was upset that she couldn’t be around for Christmas. We went and visited her a couple times throughout the times we were home.
After, we went back to the hub’s parents and got ready to go to church for Christmas Eve service. The little guy isn’t great in church and tonight wasn’t any different – little man had to sit between Nana and Papa most of the time, and got a few side-eyes when he would toss a toy in the middle of the isle…oh well. At least he wasn’t the screamer…
Christmas Day
We started the morning off with presents from Nana and Papa (since Santa left gifts in Manhattan!). With every gift, little man would get distracted with the fun toys (mostly cars) and not think to open any more gifts…until the last gift!
After relaxing the rest of the day, the hubs and I needed to go back to work the next day and headed out after dinner.
The Day after Christmas – Saturday
The hubs and I worked all day, and then there was another family Christmas in the area. We had fun hanging out with grandma/pa, cousins, aunts/uncles, etc. The little cousins were all over the place! We could barely get them to sit down for a group picture!
Better late than never!

I’m so glad you linked with us I loved seeing your Christmas pictures with you little family! Little man looks like he had a ball Christmas too! I remember getting several side eyes when I was little in church too, it only took one good time outside with my daddy to cure me of that. 🙂 So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. 🙂

It was a busy, yet relaxing, Christmas for sure 🙂 I think we got more side eyes due to the availability of a “daycare room”…oh well, at least he wasn’t having a fit 🙂
