Good morning everyone! It is a new morning of a new month – the first Saturday morning of June to be exact! Join Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date link up!
Let’s chat!
Pick your poison!
I will be enjoying my joe-on-the-go today! An early start to the day involving some driving…
Currently…
I am on my way to St. Charles for the MO Cowbell Half Marathon…and they have a big event “ExMO” throughout the day.
I will also be taking advantage of the classes they have at the ExMO – including Yoga for Runners, Barre Stretching for Runners, the Galloway Method, and Hula Hooping Fitness! Should be a fun time!
This race has all distances represented (5K, half marathon relay, half marathon, and full marathons) so there will be a lot to see!
I will then be spending the rest of the day in the St. Charles or St. Louis area just passing the time until my fellow pacer gets home from work and allows me to sleep on her floor 🙂 Thanks Emily!!
If we were having coffee… I would talk about our recent acquisition at work.
While there isn’t anything too interesting about being acquired by another company, I thought about the key points they made in the transition time.
For whatever reason, the runner in my brain read between the lines and associated these points to running…and not running a business.
- Think aggressively, Act conservatively
- Results focused
- Continuous improvement
- Compete aggressively, but always for the right thing
- Plan the work, Work the plan
I think these are some of my new mantras for running,…what do you think?
If we were sipping on some joe…
I would tell you that I chopped my hair off! 10″ off! I plan to send the inches to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths to be made into wings for women with cancer.
If we were chatting over drinks…
I also spent a few minutes at the post office the other day…sending my Project Repat shirts in…ekk! Stressful! Positive vibes as I send away my memories to me made into a new memory!
Well…that’s all she wrote – this month : )
Check out the other link ups!!
Any suggestions for potty training? Are you training for a upcoming running event? Have you ever used pacers in a race?
I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment and start a conversation!

I like your new running mantras! :]
Yay for Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths! ❤ My friend did that a couple years back too! Project Repat seems awesome–I may have to make one of my own someday (from school shirts, hahaha 😛 )!

Oh I love the idea of classes at the expo! Good luck at your race. My daughter did the hair thing once and the salon mailed it in for us. Great way to donate! Thanks so much for linking up for coffee with us today

I really enjoyed the classes…I just wish they thought that some might spend all day with the expo and have food or water for sale.

Your hair is beautiful and looks very full and healthy after the cut, good for you for growing it to donate! Mine will only grow to shoulder blade length. I hope you you have a good time at the race!

Thanks! It only got that long because I liked it long… A good, healthy cut for my hair at that point was like 4+ inches. So I decided to just get however much cut that I needed to donate 🙂

I hated potty training (my kids 🙂 ) Be patient ! Your hair looks great !
Acquisitions mean big changes. I always try to see things like that as an opportunity.

So far, nothing is changing at work – which is good! 😀

I think it is wonderful that you are donating your hair! I recently had a friend lose her hair due to chemo and she was so thankful for women like you! I have used a pacer (twice) and both times I get my PR.

I don’t have any cancer stories that hot close to home, so it’s great that you know someone who has benefitted from a donation 🙂 I really enjoy pacing! PRs and first timers have the best spirit at the finish!

Holy moley, you still have really long hair, even after getting 10″ cut off! Good for you, donating it. I love that people do that.

I know! She showed me 8″ and I was like, “are you sure that is 8?!” So I told her to take 10 😆

Wow… your hair is so long, my sister always had super long hair, we called her Rapunzel. That is awesome that you donated the locks. That MoCowbell sounds fun… especially having fun classes at the expo!
