Well, it is about that time again – Runfessions!! How is it already the END OF SEPTEMBER?! This
summer year is flying by…super fast – but I am sure glad that we started having more fall-like weather this past week! Like every month ends – let’s link up with Marcia and check out the other Runfessions for this month!!
My “training plan” is over!! Oh boy!! The last 16 weeks has flown by!
I wasn’t actively training for a marathon, but I was running a marathon “training plan”… While there isn’t a marathon on the horizon, I am ready if one peaks my interest 🙂
I have not been stretching or foam rolling like I know I should be. My foam rollers have become toys for little man to play on or with…and when I take them away from him, I do a little rolling (mostly my bum…). I would LOVE to make it more of a priority!
..but I runfess…
I do some simple stretching when I get home from a run but I would really like to have the time to s.t.r.e.t.c.h…
I guess it is good that I make my one day a week yoga class a priority!
Since my gym announced its closing date, I have been WAY less motivated to even step foot inside. In fact, I went both days last week, but nothing this week…and they closed their doors Friday!
I hope to work out a schedule with my boss so I can travel across town at least once a week (either Monday or Wednesday) to take the Power Lunch class…but no guarantees!
Looks like I need to take advantage of the new extended gym times, look into the 5:30am class offerings, and just go for a runch instead…switching things up a few days a week might be more beneficial anyway!
Raise your hand if you HATE the taper!!
Well, I am in the taper crazies mode… I have legs to run with, and they want to run!
I am not running more distance or harder workouts…but I am still keeping up with some easy miles… Shhh!! Don’t tell my training plan!
I have already started thinking about next year’s marathon or longer races… Ekk! While I would love to take a vengeance on my first marathon course with a better running plan, I would rather not…
I am looking forward to next week’s Tuesday’s on the Run to see what races everyone is putting on their bucket list 🙂 Maybe I can draw some inspiration for next year!

That Why you stop halfway meme is hilarious! It’s my dry cleaner to a tee. Except she’s nosey about my husbands clothes “why he like a pink shirt?” “where he go?” Sorry about your gym closing. That’s a bummer to regroup. Thanks for linking up!

I am one of the rare runners who actually like tapering. By then, I know I have done all that can be done for the race, and there’s nothing to gain by doing any last-minute intense workouts. I enjoy the calm-before-the-storm aspect of it 😉
So true! I just get jittery about running when I can’t or shouldn’t… I need to learn to take it easy 😀
