sugar detox | WIAW

This week is a little different from others…but hopefully it sticks! I am doing a Sugar Detox week with Laura from Mommy Run Fast. This week, I am trying to eat mostly with no added sugars – mostly whole food rather than processed foods with lots of sugar!

While this is a snap shot of a day – it is what I am eating most days this week! Even with a sick kiddo and time away from work, my meals are prepped, snacks are prepped, workouts planned, and no added sugar in the plan!

So far, I am doing well! Lots of running this day…which is out of the norm but when it is a nice day, this girl just wants to run!

[morning run] Even though I have an ill kiddo, the weather was great to get out for my w2 interval run!

[breakfast] My usual morning brew 🙂 coffee + coconut oil

[morning snack] apple + almond butter

[lunch] mixed greens + roasted vegetables + avocado

[afternoon run] While the weather is great out, I decided to hit the concrete again!

[afternoon snack] post run protein smoothie

[evening group run] Since the hubs is home with the kiddo, I was able to hit up the Tuesday evening group run at Manhattan Running Company!

[dinner] Most of my dinners this week are not as planned as the rest of the day, but some leftovers on the menu tonight…mostly eaten by little man because what I eat is what he WANTS to eat 🙂 At least he is eating a little…

[evening snack] Since the little man was warm and already had his fever reducer for the evening, bath time was in order! Also, working on my gut health in 2017 – homemade kombucha!

Just another day in the life! Check out the other WIAW posts with Jenn and her gang of foodies – Arman and Laura. I enjoy checking out the other link ups for meal inspiration!

  1. I think that it’s a great idea to try a sugar detox, I’d be interested in doing it and seeing how my body reacts as well! I wish you the best of luck continuing it this week, and let me know how it goes!
