Another weekend away and a crazy week ahead!
With last weeks’ leftovers in the fridge, we are trying to eat our way through the fridge…ha!
[workout] 4 miles + 1 mile with Paisley
I needed the early morning text from Angie asking if I was running…yep! We met up for 4 miles to start the day!
After our run, I came home and picked up the sleeping pup for a mile around the block! With the high, high humidity and warm air, I couldn’t keep her out much longer than that… She enjoyed hopping in the pool when we got home : )

[morning snack] apple + almond butter
Since I was in KC last weekend, I was able to hit up Costco for my fave almond butter…yes! This is the only almond butter that I have found that is blended so smooth with ONLY almonds! The best! So easy to drizzle on my fruit : )
[lunch] chicken wrap
Since the hubs made a LOT of chicken last week, we are still eating chicken… For luch, I grabbed a tortilla, some romaine, 2 garden roma tomatoes, a slice of american cheese, 1/2 a chicken breast, and
an avocado some red pepper hummus. I knew that only about 1/2 of the avocado was POSSIBLY going to be edible, but then it wasn’t…so the wrap wasn’t a make-or-break without it.
I ended up getting one of the “healthy snacks” from the vending machine! Nice! I used some of the hummus for my wrap, and then ate the rest with my snack a few hours later…
[afternoon snack] egg whites + red pepper hummus + pretzles
Leftover pretzles/hummus from lunch with “meal prepped” boiled eggs.
[dinner] Cranberry Crunch Wella Bar
When I got home from work, little man was ready to eat…and eat a lot! I wasn’t feeling all that hungry, but a Wella Bar was burning a hole in my lunch box…
At Costco, I also grabbed a box of Wella Bars. They remind me of Perfect Bars – 2 of the 3 bars in the box are very similar to Perfect (except for the almond butter bar…).
Little man ate some leftover pizza, a lunchable (crackers, cheese, meat), a whole mango, and a bottle of water – I sure hope he is growing with all the food he eats in the evening! Some of it is hunger…but some of it is boredom or just because someone else is eating at the time…
