I am playing with my miles a lot this week. Since I built in a night 50K into this training block, the miles are a little funky this week leading up to  the weekend. I plan a couple trail days this week (check out below if it works out or not) and the long, night training run this weekend! While my miles are messed around from day to day, the miles for the week equal the same ♥

weekly workouts : week 10 (june 25)

Monday
Scheduled : OFF
Actual : OFF

While I finished off last week’s miles late last night, I planned on changing up my miles this week starting today. While I didn’t end up getting in any miles, I made a game plan for the week!

Tuesday
Scheduled : 8 miles
Actual : 4 miles + 4 miles + 4 miles

With morning thunderstorms, my longer morning run was slashed greatly…but my wheels were still turning to make the miles count the rest of the day! Busy day means I should be able to sleep well tonight…

Wednesday
Scheduled : 6 miles
Actual : 4 miles

I have been dealing with some major congestion and sinus pressure the past couple days…and while I got up with my alarm this morning, I didn’t sleep well and I felt odd on my feet. I decided to put my morning run on hold, go back to bed, and see what the day brought for a possible lunch run… 

Hot sweaty 4 mile lunch run it is!

Thursday
Scheduled : 6 miles
Actual : OFF

The heat is realllllll today! And I just didn’t feel like getting out in it…

Friday
Scheduled : 4 miles
Actual : 8 miles + 10 miles

A morning jaunt to ease my nerves and make up for missing miles yesterday, a full day with dad, and then time to hit the trail! Since there is a good chance for rain tomorrow and questionable conditions, I wanted to get a little more trail time before the race on Saturday! Checking the trails with new and old friends is in order ♥

Saturday
Scheduled : 25 miles
Actual : 50K (31 miles)

Getting home late and an upcoming night race means that I can sleep in…or at least attempt to! No alarms…and up before 6 am. Bah…

Little man and I went to spend some time with my dad and then we both were able to take a nap ♥

After some quick #flatlindsey set up and getting ready, I was on my way to Lawrence for the Night Hawk 50K!

Long story (and blog post) short, it was a great start, then it rained (HARD), there was mud, and I persisted! Another 50K finish in the books – they can’t all be easy. Ha!

Sunday
Scheduled : 20 miles
Actual : OFF

Weekly Miles : 65 miles
RnRChicago Miles : 254 miles
100m Training Miles : 590 miles
Annual Miles : 1239 miles (goal = 2,018 in 2018)

  2. Morning, noon and evening runs? Very impressive, my friend. And just look at your muddy 50k finish picture. If running a 50k isn’t already bad-a$$ enough (and it is!), the mud gives you bonus points! 😉 Thanks for linking!
