While I hoped that this week would be super productive with getting Miss Paisley ready for the Scooby-Doo Doo Good 5K, we will be out of town a good chunk of the week! I can get my running (and hiking/walking) game on while she will be left to playing outside as cross training ♥
I need to look into a plan (of sorts) to take me through the rest of the year. I have a few pacing gigs this fall and I want to be in good shape to help those runners! Hopefully I can find a suitable plan (or make one up) in the next week.
weekly workouts : sept 17-23
Monday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : 4 miles (1 pup mile)
A late night text from a running buddy last night forced me to set my alarms this morning. I am not necessarily chasing miles yet, but as long as I am feeling good (and the weather cooperates), I don’t mind getting out for a few miles. Once I got home, I determined that it would be more beneficial to take Miss Pai out for a morning mile than one later in the day. Not saying we wouldn’t head out later, but we were both set for the day it the weather got too warm later…
Tuesday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : 1 mile (1 pup mile)
While I didn’t care to get out, Miss Pai shot me those puppy eyes – so we went out for a QUICK mile to start the day!
Wednesday – Sunday
Scheduled : no plan
Actual : no miles
We left for Colorado on Wednesday morning and my bag was packed with PLENTY of running clothes for some amazing morning runs…except, I just didn’t get up and out. With late, late nights and lots of beer and pretzels consumed, I was not on my game much of the trip. And honestly, my tummy is going to take a few days (or the week) to settle down…
On a side note, Miss Paisley went on her own adventure while we were away… I got a call from my mother-in-law on Wednesday afternoon that she got out of the yard. I was convinced that she would come back quickly with calling her name, but nothing worked. I am partially convinced that Paisley had already been picked up by animal control when my MIL saw that she was gone… Either way, with several frantic, frazzled phone calls I was able to track her down – and then home. Needless to say, she was under a careful eye the rest of the weekend 😉
Weekly Miles : 5 miles
Annual Miles : 1802 miles miles (goal = 2,018 in 2018)

My training week finally came to an end this past weekend as well. Millions of fantastic beers out there and I had to make sure I did my job at the GABF. Drank a lot of great beers, but no running/cycling for me this past week. I’ll get back into it soon enough though!
