Wow,… Thursday…we meet again!…There is a little to talk about with Amanda and her Thinking Out Loud Thursday’s 🙂


Fit Foodie Run Weekend


I have made it another day closer to going to San Diego!

I will be getting on a jet plane (or just a huge airplane…) tomorrow morning with my long-time best friend and heading to the Fit Foodie Run Weekend!! This will be the first time I have been to California – so that in itself is awesome!

The plans that we have (so far…) are :

  • Fit Foodie Party with a Purpose – Friday Night
  • Fit Foodie 5K – Saturday morning
  • Post race fun in the John Hancock Vitality Village
  • Fit Foodie Sweat Session – Sunday morning (not sure how much of this we can do since our flight back home is at 12:45pm…but we will sure try!)


Other than the Fit Foodie Fun plans, I hope to be able to explore a little!

Any standout places to see that you would recommend? LET ME KNOW!!


Okay. New plan.

I would totally go all in for Paleo again…but the timing is not perfect.

Image result for marathon training memeWhen I first went grain-free, there was a couple weeks that I was out of sorts. My body was getting used to not having the additional carbs and sugar and it was making me groggy and not a happy camper. Due to this reaction the first time, I am going to wait to go cold-turkey on grains until after my 50K and pacing opportunities this fall.

In doing so, I am going to limit my grains in the next 6 weeks but not remove them completely…

I am the all-in-or-nothing type of person…so waiting to get my eating habits reworked is going to take some mental prep in advance – another reason to wait. I just don’t have the time or energy these days to get ready for such a change!

I need a maid…

great-momsYeah…I need a part-time maid this time of the year…and in the spring.

Those are the times that I am running the most…and my house is what suffers the hardest!

Laundry is behind…

Dishes are piling up…

Dog needs more play time…

Maybe I could wish on a shining star for a couple extra hours in the day to get it all done…just one day a week, for the next 6 weeks. That’s all I ask!!
