I recently wrote about the five ways to aid recovery after my first 50K . One of the five ways I mentioned was to use muscle creams. Muscle creams generally relieve minor aches and pains related to arthritis, strains, sprains, and most importantly, sore muscles. 

I was given the opportunity to try Earth’s Care Pain Relief Ointment and I jumped at the chance to try something new and be able to add yet another item to my recovery arsenal.

Upon first opening, the minty smell was great! And by great, I mean strong! I love a strong mint flavor, so this wasn’t an issue for me.

The first evening I used the cream, my calves were tight arter a particularly cold long run and this ointment worked great! 

First, the minty scent cleared up my sinuses. Talk about mint to the max – the hubs didn’t enjoy that so much, but I was feeling too good to care! 

Second, the non-greasy proprietary formula of Camphor, Menthol and Wintergreen Oil worked together to penetrate my sore muscles and grant me some much needed relief!

Another great feature of this cream is that it is made “using predominately natural ingredients.”  There are no artificial colors or fragrances, no parable a, no petrolatum, and no animal testing! From the Earth’s Care site:
