Well, this has been a long week! Today does not feel like a Friday – which could be while I missed out on my Thinking Out Loud Thursday with Amanda. No sense in crying over a missed post…but I will just make it a double! TOLT and Friday Five – not necessarily my Friday Favorites, but just some recent happenings!
But first…
Coffee 🙂 This has been a staple of the past week…
off week…
Due to a sick little boy, I was home a couple days this week!
My second day off, Wednesday, wasn’t too bad because little man was on the mend…we just needed to be fever-free for 24 hours. Since he had a temp Tuesday afternoon, we stayed home Wednesday… We played, went to the store, went to Target, went to see the hubs at work (who was looking a little under the weather himself…), went for a short run, and laid low at the house…
A day that felt more like a Saturday than a Wednesday…
…and the weather!
Now that the weekend is coming, the weather is also changing…and FAST!! Ice, ice and more ice is coming our way… Good thing it is the weekend and we don’t HAVE TO go anywhere!
goals update for 2017
Well, I am doing well with my Goals for 2017! I have run every day this year (so far) and I am still on track to complete 2017 miles in 2017! While I stayed on track for 5-6 months last year and then fell short, I hope that my pre-planning goes a long way this year!
Just keep running!…and running happy 🙂
spring running planned
Well, my spring running schedule is mostly planned! A lot of pacing, some long drives, a big mile race, and my first running gig as a BibRave Pro! I have run the Hospital Hill Re-Run and half marathon a few times now – but this will be my first year running as a BibRave Pro. I can’t wait to wear my bright orange tank down the streets of KC in June!
You can join me at the race for less! Use the discount code “BIBRAVE” for 10% off registration (discount for the 5K, 10K, half marathon and Re-RUN distances. Not valid on the family 5K pricing. It cannot be combined with any other promotions and cannot be added after a registration has been completed)!
Also, you can get some sweet pajama pants with your registration 🙂 Check them out on Hospital Hill’s website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and register today!!
Disclaimer: My race registration to the Hospital Hill Half Marathon was comped as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!

I absolutely LOVE being a bibrave pro! Welcome! And KC is so amazing. I had such a blast at the KC marathon that I ran for bibrave. But – OH MY those hills! Glad your little guy is on the mend – mine was sick this week too! And, now we have pink eye. 🙂 Geesh!

I grew up in KC, so I am always aware of the hills 😂😂 And my PR for the half is at the KC Half! My body has a love/hate relationship with hills ❤

We had a bunch of snow and ice last weekend, so luckily this weekend we will not be getting any of that! I had a goal last year to run 2,016 miles and was on track for awhile as well but then fell off. I am not making the goal to run 2,017 since I failed last year. Good luck reaching your goal!

We had some last weekend and this weekend alike…but this weekend comes with the threatening warnings and such. Good luck with 2017!

Hope everybody’s feeling better! Lots of bugs flying around lately. Boo to ice. That is the worst. Your race schedule sounds exciting so far!

Oh yes! He was better within a couple days – it just sucks when you can’t take away their pain 😦

1 mile a day seems so doable (plus regular workouts, of course). But then there’s laundry, warming up, foam rolling . . . all those little things that go into running, which is why I don’t streak!

Ha! I hear ya! It seems like all I can do on a Sunday is housework and 1 mile at the end of the day…
