I will probably be crying and complaining about the cold for a while now – it has REALLY set in. There is a big likelihood that I will be wimping out the the gym off and on…no shame! I don’t mind the cold…but the FREEZE YOUR EVERYTHING IN 2 SECONDS cold is a little harder to step out into…
weekly workouts : week 5 (dec 25)
I took Monday off in stellar fashion…even though I felt guilty about missing my run on Sunday…
Tuesday- 4 miles
The snooze button was the winner of the morning – enough so that I was nearly late to work – darn snow! I *quickly* packed up my workout bag with lots of layers to HOPEFULLY go out for my run…but I couldn’t fine my YakTraks…trail shoes it is!
Wednesday- 4 miles
Rather than hitting the trail (which I planned), I ran an errand…literally, ran : ) It was a brisk day, but warmer than yesterday! Win!
6 miles 2 miles
I wanted to get out this morning…but it didn’t happen (THIS needs to change!!). Since I don’t want to run hard enough to get in a couple miles before picking up little man for the day…I got in what trail miles I could.
2 miles 16 miles
Another week of moving my long run to Friday. Today, I am not going to work due to a family funeral and family major time the rest of the day. I am not sure why moving my long run to the treadmill is an easy option, but I have really “enjoyed” using the treadmill for longer runs = no frozen water bottles (or butts…let’s be real).
16 miles 5 + 5 miles
Holy smokes, it is COLD outside! I made it halfway through my run before making that turn towards home… I felt bad at first – “I should have been able to gut that one out!” – but then I was just ready for it to be over. Good thing I have friends who have little boys and a treadmill – so little man and I went over to Michelle’s house for a little while – the boys played, we chatted, and the miles were finished : )
10 miles OFF
While I wanted to get out and run my last few miles for the year, I stayed in bed, stayed warm, and spent the day with little man : ) Wouldn’t have had it any other way!
