While I ran some in college and picked it back up 6-7 years ago, I didn’t consider myself a “real runner” until 5 years ago. After having my first son, I wanted to train for my first half marathon and I have used Nuun ever since.

Over the years, Nuun has gone through many changes in their packaging, their formulas, and brought some pretty neat products to market — including Endurance, Immunity, and most recently Rest.

Nuun Rest

Nuun Rest isn’t your average electrolyte drink, it was created as a recovery beverage. With a blend of magnesium, potassium, and tart cherry, my recovery routine has hit a new level.

Now that we have a new little one at home, my sleeping habits have been all out of wack. While I feel like I could pass out when my head hits the pillow, this isn’t always the case.

I have found that taking Nuun Rest as a hot beverage in the evening, I am more relaxed when it is time to get a few zzzzzzs between nursing sessions.

Through trial and error, I found that I like drinking the Lemon Chamomile hot and the Blackberry Vanilla cold — to each their own! I find that the warm evening drink helps lull me into a more relaxed state and the addition of Nuun Rest helps seal the deal in record time.

While I am not the best example to prove how well rested Nuun Rest helps me feel, I know that I will continue using it through my next training cycle. Recovery doesn’t come easy…so when there is a product that can help, I will take it!
