I have found in recent days that I much rather taste coffee than NEED coffee for the caffeine… I find myself craving the taste in the evening most days, weird, I know.

Therefore, I need to find a good brand of decaf coffee…

I feel like that is an oxymoron!

water

I need to be better about getting in all of my water throughout the day! With the summer heat (yes, the summer heat will be a topic of conversation for a while…or until I move to Alaska), I need to be sure I am drinking enough water and getting some extra electrolytes and minerals…

alarms

Well, I have started getting “better” about getting around in the morning for a run. T think that I need a more dependable accountability partner…my alarm is not doing quite the trick. I really want to need to get back into a morning routine because it is just too darn hot to run any other time of the day.

heat

Speaking of morning running, this past week hasn’t been all that bad for the “heat of the day” heat! Upper 80s?! Please and thank you!! I wish that was the normal heat for the WHOLE summer…nope, just KS weather at it’s finest. It will be back in the 100s soon enough.

streaks – the running kind

Speaking of challenges, I am just finished #streakingwiththeCOOLKIDS and am still participating in the Runner’s World Run Streak! While getting in a dedicated mile everyday is not the easiest with a busy schedule, I am giving it all I got to make it happen! Today is my last day of #steakingwiththeCOOLKIDS and it is going to happen! I still have a couple more days with the #RWRunStreak – wish me luck!

Between these two streaking events, I have been able to keep my legs moving and it had really forced me to get around and get some early miles! 🙂

Great Outdoor Challenge w/FitFam

This weekend kicks off the Great Outdoors Challenge with the Americana Run! I have my swag ready to go and will be trying to run this weekend…but with the rain in the forecast Friday evening thru Sunday, I might have to wait until the day of, July 4th, to get in my miles. No biggie, it will happen!
