Last week of my “training cycle”!! I can’t believe it has already been 15 weeks…summer is coming to a close (finally…) and my first pacing race is this coming weekend! Here is my recap of last weeks workouts!
Weekly Workouts
Monday- no morning run, but made up for it with my Power Lunch! (8,697 steps)
Tuesday- No morning run again…but little man and I went out for a run/walk in the evening (9,122 steps)
Wednesday- A great morning run followed up with a great Power Lunch! (27,762 steps)
Thursday- A nice morning run on tired legs…avoided hills like the plague, which made my run a little longer, but less climbing! (20,112 steps)
Friday- Morning yoga is the best start to the day… And since I was able to get off work a little early, I took my time to the park and finished my interval run! (16,433 steps)
Saturday- The taper can make anyone crazy…only 6 miles to start my “long run” Saturday… Ran faster than usual, but not the miles I am used to. Trust the taper. Trust the taper. (16,004 steps)
Sunday- lazy Sunday…no workout (5,310 steps)
Weekly Miles : 30 workout miles (103.4K weekly steps, 14.7K daily steps)
1326 / 2,016 miles in 2016
Next Week’s Projected Workouts
Next week is my last week of “scheduled training”!! My first pacing run of the fall half marathon cycle is actually Sunday (not Saturday)…but who’s counting!
After next week, I will be in a training-taper for the next month or so. In October, I have events or plans every weekend…so I will enjoy the time I have running in the mornings 🙂
Once this pacing season is over, I am not sure what I will do next…but I have an idea…and it is BIG 🙂
Check out some awesome #linkups this week!
As always, there is the great Weekly Wrap link-up with Holly and Tricia! I found a new Monday linkup called #MotivateMe Monday, hosted by Lucie, Janice, and Rachel! Also, check out Ilka and Angela’s Sunday Fitness & Food link up!
Check out the Tuesday’s on the Run gang as well: Patty, Erika, & Marcia! I am also linking up with Annmarie, Jen, Nicole, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday 🙂 Check out the new Coaches Corner linkup with Suz, Rachel, Debbie, and Lora.
How did your training week go? What are you training for?
I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment and start a conversation!
Congrats on a very good training week Lindsey – 30 miles in weekly mileage is fantastic! This is such a great base to keep going even when this pacing cycle is over. Have another great running week Lindsey!

Thanks you! I hope to keep up the mileage through the next couple months and then start a new winter plan!

What a busy week! I came in at 29 miles (but 13.1 of those were from a half marathon). I’m not really a high-mileage runner, but so far I’ve been able to handle it (training for Route 66 Marathon in Nov.).

I was just saying to someone else that the taper is the hardest part. Definitely trust the training and have fun! Can’t wait to read about it 🙂
