Well, it is about that time again – Runfessions!! How is September already over?! My birthday month is gone and I am not ready for this year to be so close to being over! This year is flying by…super fast – and it is starting to feel more like fall!
the longest 14 hours of my life…and the most exciting! #hawk50mile #team2loops
For this week’s Tuesday on the Run, we are discussing our fall race schedules…but now it is Wednesday…so let’s dive in!
This week is the final week of training/tapering for my first 50 mile race – the weather is cooling off and I am itching to run more than ever! I guess that is what happens during the taper… Let’s see how this week went and check out the new Stunt Puppy Go Dog Glo™ Dry Collar™.
hawk fifty mile training | w16 – the final countdown!!
Bring on the taper!! This week is looking like some cooler temps and less miles – and while I would usually want longer miles in the cooler temps, I am working on some major self control and sticking to the training plan!!
Today, I am just Thinking Out Loud about trail running and my opportunity to try the new Under Armor Horizon RTT trail shoes!
Last BIG week of this training cycle!! While it didn’t go totally as scheduled or planned, I made the most of it! Only two more weekends before the big race…one of which will be on vacation…oh boy!
This week for Tuesday’s on the Run with Erika, Marcia, and Patty, I am going over my first experience with the Clinton Lake Hawk course loop! For my first 50 miler (next month), I will be running 2 loops of the course that I ran last weekend…so let’s dive in! #Team2Loops
This week has been a good one! The weather is getting nicer, my runs haven’t felt bad, and did I mention the weather has been GREAT?! I love fall weather…and since it isn’t the fall quite yet, I am still waiting on the real cool down. Losing a couple degrees here and there is on the right track…
Another week down in my training for the Hawk 50 in September – a mere 5 weeks away!! I am not nervous – but I am getting excited to get to run all day and into the evening : ) Weird, huh? Running is mostly a solo gig for me…so the 50M distance is 1) a new challenge, 2) a super supported long, long run, and 3) a lot of time to think. #Team2Loops
