Another week down! It seems like we get one good day (…or at least better than the rest) and it isn’t often on my long run day. Pity… Oh well, summer will be here before we know it, so I should “enjoy” the chill while I can I guess!!
Monday- Since I saved my energy from Sunday evening’s walk (seen here on last week’s Weekly Workout post), I was able to give my interval workout a good effort! The random guys on the ‘mills next to me helped since they were running SPRINT intervals…yeesh!
Tuesday- While my schedule called for a nice recovery run, I was at the gym early enough that I made it into a mid-week long run 🙂 Some days, just running easy to run just makes sense! This was one of those days!
Also, since the weather ended up being one of the warmest of the season, I headed out for a few trail miles 🙂 Love those trails!
Wednesday- Some days are GREAT…and some days I ride the morning struggle bus. I knew I needed to get to the gym before work or it just wasn’t going to happen… So I crawled into the gym around 6:15 (super late for me!) and walked a couple miles. I felt better after – but the struggle was REAL today!
Some days aren't meant for tough workouts… • While I was ready to hit the gym (dressed, bag packed, lunch/meals made, etc.), my mind wandered… I knew that I needed to hit the gym before work or my workout just wouldn't happen today! • Well, I finally got to the gym and I just wasn't feeling it… So I hopped on the treadmill and walked a couple miles – at least I bumped up the in line so I felt like I was being slightly productive… • Ever have those days?? My fartlek will just have to wait until tomorrow and hope that my mind is in a better place!
Thursday- …and then my energy is back! Since I missed my fartlek run on Wednesday, I made up for it today! I ran more like an interval workout than a fartlek…but it all works out the same, speed play! Bring on the morning ‘mill – this cold is not for me these days…
Things don't always go as planned…this morning too! • I am getting good at dilly-dallying around the house in the morning and then cutting it close to getting my run in before work! No bueno… • At least my laundry and dishes are done. I should be able to clean up a little tonight and hit the gym early tomorrow morning!
Friday- Just another morning on the run! An interval run is on the agenda and the treadmill makes this SEEM so much easier. Set it and forget it!…well, at least try to keep going and not hop off until the Garmin beeps 🙂
Another day – another run! • Something about running intervals on a treadmill makes it easier. Yeah, I can just hop off if it gets hard…but I am more likely to push through! If I were on the road, I would have slowed down and stopped more… • While my speed isn't what it was a couple years ago, I am slowly building back up! Some of my extra non-running workouts should help as well ✔ • Make today great! How are you erring active today??
Saturday- Morning miles are the best miles – plus, the only way I get ANY miles on Saturday! This weeekend is for Little Man – his actual birthday is Monday…but why leave it to just one day?!
Sunday- A busy day means Pai and I went out for a quick mile
A weekend full of fun with little man and family! • I wanted to run early…but it just didn't happen. A day full of fun, family, and cupcakes…so I didn't get out until tonight – and mostly to RUN and errand. • Plastic containers in one arm – nothing in my other hand!! Hands-free @stuntpuppy is perfect to take Pai for a quick mile! She loves running and dragging me along 😂😂#stuntpuppy #bibchat #bibravepro @bibrave
